This project is created for students to do online for distance learning. "Take a Chance" is for students to create a composition by writing a 4 measure rhythm and using a die (8 sided or online 8 sided digital die) to determine the pitch for each note in their rhythm.
 
This project is best with students that understand scales and rhythm (half, quarter, and eighth notes). Your students can use a paper to write down the assignment or you can use composition software like Flat or Noteflight to complete the assignment. However you use it, it's FUN to see what is created!
